World Cycling Tour

Vladivostok → North Cape — 11,700 km by smart bike

I cycle the World Cycling Tour route entirely indoors, on a BH Exercycle Smart Bike in my off-grid studio in Valle del Lunarejo, Uruguay.

No traffic, no roads — just the route, the power data, and the elevation.

The full route runs from Vladivostok, Russia to North Cape, Norway — 11,700 km across 15 countries.

I ride it in segments of 25 km daily, using Training Peaks Virtual, which simulates the real elevation and terrain of each stage.

Why Cycling Indoors?

  • Precise power and cadence data — no wind or gradient variables
  • Year-round training regardless of weather
  • Full focus on form — no traffic, no road hazards
  • Structured training blocks with repeatable conditions
  • Safer for solo riding in a remote off-grid location
  • Compatible with Training Peaks Virtual for route simulation

BH Exercycle Smart Bike

The BH Exercycle Smart Bike connects directly to Training Peaks Virtual.
It transmits real-time power (watts), cadence (RPM), and heart rate data,
and the software adjusts resistance automatically to match the elevation
of the real route.

Training Peaks Virtual

Training Peaks Virtual (formerly BKOOL) renders the real GPS route with accurate elevation simulation.

The bike resistance changes automatically as you climb or descend — no manual adjustment needed.
